Therapeutic Supports – Psychology

We help individuals with an approved National Disability Insurance Scheme plan work towards achieving their goals by providing tailored support and intervention. Our experienced Psychologists can assist you to improve the quality of your life, strengthen relationships with family and friends, and become more involved with your local community. They can help you achieve this by providing support in the following areas:

  • Helping you adjust to new health conditions and life-long disabilities
  • Learning skills to help with communication, social interactions, and building positive relationships
  • Learning skills to help cope with difficulties you might face when working towards your goals and dealing with general life situations
  • Providing strategies for emotional regulation, including anxiety, anger, and sadness
  • Improving your ability to function by addressing cognitive difficulties, such as memory, attention, and decision making

Who Will You Be Working With?

We triage all referrals to ensure you are linked in with a Psychologist who has the skills and experience to best suit your unique needs. It is important you feel a genuine connection with your Psychologist, so we ensure you get someone who is the right fit for you. We encourage open and honest feedback to help us achieve this; so, if the fit isn’t quite right, please do not hesitate to let our friendly team know.

How Can You Access Our Therapeutic Supports?

We accept referrals from participants with approved self, plan, or agency managed plans. You can either contact our friendly team directly or contact us with assistance from your Support Coordinator, GP, family members, or other members of your support team. We will need a copy of your approved plan to verify your approved funding and understand your goals. We will then discuss a suitable time for an initial session with you and your support team.
